Environmental & Social Responsibility
Environmental Policy
Professional Collision Centers believes the preservation of our natural resources is an essential component of any well-run business. We also recognize that because the automotive industry is not a particularly green industry, we can make a significant difference. Here are just a few of the steps we have taken to minimize the burden our company and our industry places on the environment.
Recycling
Through our vendors we recycle paint solvents, paint, scrap sheet metal and aluminum, anti-freeze, motor oil, cardboard, car batteries, printer cartridges, fluorescent bulbs, tires, and electronics.
Paint Materials
We strive to use the most environmentally friendly paints on the market. We have long used paint materials which eliminate or reduce dangerous chemicals such as lead and solvents.
Safety
An additional part of our responsibility to the environment, our workers, and the community, is to comply with with OSHA and EPA standards and guidelines.
Community Responsibility
Because we are part of the Woodbridge and Stafford communities, we strive to support activities there. We prominently& participate in and donate to these community based organizations:
- Feed Me Ministries, Woodbridge, Virginia. Dedicated to feeding families who are hungry and in need of nourishment no matter how temporary their circumstances.
- Rotary International is the world's first service club organization, with more than 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs worldwide. Rotary club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto Service Above Self. The local affiliate is The Rotary Club of Lake Ridge.
- Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation's largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness. The local affiliate is National Capitol Area Council.
